Saturday morning report

Thanks to coaches Jeremy and Dave, and my little work horse Ben for helping me clear the rink this morning. It was snowy and chilly, but we got our hour and a half in. Thanks too to Katherine for offering to shovel.

Clay, Maria, Patrick, Mekhi, Sebastian, and Ben all had their shining moments in the games we played. Isabel and Joanna’s two-girl wall of defense in front of the cone in the first, cross-ice game really shut down the other team.

Ben and Sebastian tied at 1 apiece in the shootout we had against the grown-up goalie who was at the rink today. That was pretty cool.

And this old Sibley Warrior got home in time to watch the kindred Warroad Warriors defeat the SSP Packers for the girls state title—a great day of hockey for sure.
