Schedule, Parents Guide, and Flyer

We had our first real skate last night, and it was a lot of fun. Patrick, Mekhi, Nick, Ben, and Tristan did a great job. And thanks to Tryg and Jeremy for lacing up and helping out on the ice. We’ll be back out there Thursday night 6:30–7:45 pm and should have a few more kids who couldn’t make it Monday.

Parents Guide

I’ve put together a first draft of a parents guide for 2010–11. It has some basic information you’ll want to keep.

Please help spread the word

We’ll all have more fun if we have a few more skaters out there. Our goal is to have 25 by the end of January. So if you have a friend or relative who can skate, but isn’t involved in hockey, bring him or her along on Thursday!

Other ways you can help

If you have any extra hockey gear to contribute, I have a big red hockey bag that I’ve been bringing that’s already got some breezers, shoulder pads, gloves, and elbow pads in it. We could use some helmets and shin pads. And of course, if you need some equipment, just check the bag.

Download a Saint Paul Hockey Club flyer and print some out to distribute at schools, churches, neighborhood rec centers—anywhere that might recruit a few more kids.

UPDATE: Here’s another flyer with tearoffs for people to take the website address with them.
